Sun Chemical To Acquire Bayer’s Organic Pigments Plant

Sun Chemical Corporation has agreed to purchase Bayer Corporation’s organic pigments business, located in Bushy Park, SC. Pending approval by regulatory groups, transfer of ownership is expected April 1, 2002.      The Bushy Park facility manufactures Bayer’s Indofast, Perrindo, Quindo and Palomar pigments. These organic pigments are used in coatings for automotive, industrial and architectural applications and for coloring plastics and fibers. The facility employs approximately 180 people....
